The following vehicles 2009-2012 Ram 1500/ Dodge Dakota and the 2009 Dodge Aspen/Durango may experience the rear pinion nut backing off due to
undersize pinion shaft splines. A loosen pinion nut could cause a dangerous situation and a large repair bill to the customer. There is about 63,000 vehicles
on the road that may be affected. All vehicles with a 6 point pinion nut should have it replaced with the below "pinion nut retainer kit" . Applications with a
12 point nut does not require any replacement.

Chrysler kit part # CBHKM342AA (Transtar part # 723C961)

Kit consist of the following:
1) pinion nut retainer
4) propeller shaft to companion flange bolt (6506497AA)
2) hex bit (3/32")
