why 200r4 in old school cars

i do alot of 350/400 to 700 swaps here and every single one the customer has this idea the 200 is a far superior trans, where is this coming from i always though and still think the 200 is a piece of garbage, and we can do so much stuff to the 700 to make them really reliable units i always win the over by putting it like this "what if i can build you a corvette trans that they ran from the 90s to early 2000" and than i can see the light go on. olds and buick blocks i get that but why behind a 350 chevy i dont get it

TH200's are a POS.

2004r is a different story.
They can be built quite strong. Costs a bit more but work well.
