09 suburvan 5.3L 6l90E transmission

Post by joseluis » Fri Aug 25, 2017 9:58 pm

Hi all! I got this vehicle that after a rebuild and a shift kit with original TEQM gives me a code P0777 Pressure control solenoid stuck on. It skips second gear and it shifts through the other gears. I replace the TEQM and now it wont move forward at all.It does have reverse.
it was programed with a rental tool that does the programing over the internet.
I replaced the TEQM with the original module and I get forward gears again.but the original symptom comes back.
I rebuilt the unit and replaced the 1234 drum with a new one,and a transgo shift kit.tested the drums with air outside and after assembly, thump sounded decent.so I doubt is internal, and the Valve body seemed clean enough,so I thought a shift kit should be enough VS a rebuilt valve body.
After two TEQM units with no forward(reverse is fine)And with the original unit having forward movement. I am about to throw a used unit in this vehicle (not really)
I will probably be in a bad mood over the weekend.
So I need help!! anyone seen this problem or heard of a good cure, short of a shotgun
I appreciate any help thank you all!!

replaced the trans with a used one and it is gone.I found that the kit I got was for early 6L80.so some of the "o"rings rolled and got cut on the 1234 piston. It apply with air but not with oil pressure. I still feel confused as to why with the old TQUM it would engage forward.
being a dealer truck I didn't have time to play with it.
