4l60e pump rotor breaking

2006 chevy 1500 rebuilt unit lasted about 3 month came back with pump rotor broke.replaced rotor and vanes (pump was not damaged) customer installed drove about 200 mile and its back with rotor broke again (pump not damaged) measured converter height 6.550 from hub to pad surface.customer did state it med to hard throttle when it broke the 2nd time.is the converter pulling out of pump?

Check the converter pull up. You may need to replace the flexplate.

Use an OEM Rotor or a upgraded one, as some of the aftermarket stock replacement rotors
can break.

Ran into this with an FMX from a hotrod shop. Its always good to measure the original for comparison. Mine had an after market flex plate and a remand convertor. The flex plate was drilled a bit tight for the convertor studs and the converter stub was welded 3/16 to high and it cracked the pump everytime until I figured out the depth issue and put a used oem flex plate in and I had to put in a good used oem convertor.
