I have a 2008 town and country van with a 4.0 engine and 62te transmission. Whenever you put it into a forward gear it kills the engine. reverse does not. No codes. looking for A starting place. thanks

Start by checking the level and make sure this unit has the right atf in it.
Unplug at the transmission connector and see what happens. Check
the cooler for restriction. Then I would pull the pan, inspect, and check or change the
lock up solenoid. If it is high milage it may need a new convertor. One guy
ended up changing the valve body to fix this problem after he changed the
convertor and solonoids and could not find a problem in the valve body.

Thanks for the input. I had suspicioned the torque converter myself. Had a 604 once that the converter was bad and done about the same thing
