customer found this in the pan of a 42RLE . I'm trying to find out if this is a new job or rebuilt .

this is a new job and does not look like anyone has touched it before , the piece is made of aluminum .

Doesn't It look like one of the dipstick plugs they used to use in the old GM transmissions from factory.

To bad it was not a ford, remember those yellow tube plugs, and how many people where taken for a overhaul! I have never seen anything like this before!

That piece is from the filter so the bolts don't crush the plastic.
