Hello all,
I opened up the t case, the clutch pack looks ok, the only thing i found to be worn is the pocket where the pump gears ride. The outer gear has alot of side to side play. The pocket where the gears ride is actually the back half of the case. We will be getting a rebuilt to install. I will keep everyone updated as we go along. Gary

Rob (Tranibob) You have vin info more then the rest of use, They say it is not a pos diff unit, which I find hard to comprehend. I maybe wrong, but I assumed that it would have a pos. Is it possible that it has a 213 diff??

Hello all,
Update on this job is, we installed rebuilt transfer case, filled it with chatter free fluid from rockland standard gear on tuesday. I drove the car cold today and right out of the box i had no chatter but the moaning sound on a hard turn was still there but not nearly as bad as it was. Today i checked the diff in the front and to me the front diff is pozi,(both wheels spin same direction) i called jeep and got the correct additive serviced the front diff with 75 140 grease. Went into a parking lot and did some circles left and right. I had the manager drive the car before we went home today and he said just he heard it for a second and then was gone and he made left and right hard turns. The real test will be tomm. morning, im hoping its gone all together(sorry didnt answer sooner shops very busy, its honda week again. lol) Gary

So what do you think, the limited slip differential was the issue?
