2000 Astro - No 4wd

ok I have no experience on these and not even sure how the system works and cant find any thing online about the system .but the transfer case is not ingauging no codes and all the conections seem to be fine .. is there a common failure on these .. can some one please give me a short education on this system so I can get my thumb out of my .... and get back to work

The problem on those is usually the motor on the side that moves to engage or disengage the AWD that quit working, but I am pretty sure that trips a code and I know it turns a light on in the dash.

What is the VIN of the vehicle you have in your shop?

Getting old, cant remember what model of transfer case in this Astro ?

I am assume this has a NV 136 case?
