Post by jhesch23 » Mon Feb 10, 2014 3:54 pm

I have a 2005 Ford van with a 5.4L
The van keeps coming back periodically with a
P0755 and a P0758 sol. B electrical.
We replaced the sol. and the plastic wire harness
and the case connector.
Any one have any idea what might be causing the problem?

Thanks Mike Hipp

What model of transmission are you working on Mike?

Those are real bad for the wiring harness to touch the exhaust on the passenger side but that usually gives you more then just one solenoid codes since always seem to affect the B+ wire. In your case there is only one wire involve since you have only SSB circuit codes, so check that circuit with a voltmeter right at the computer. It is the purple wire with an orange tracer going to pin 43 of the PCM.

Mike if you have done the electric in side, plus new harness, I would try the ford wiggle test with your scanner. Do you have Alldata/Mitchel to see the step to follow? Cant send it to you because its on different pc.

Mike, Not sure were you are located, and your weather conditions, but have found many Fords to have green connectors at trans or PCM. Keep this in mind, when checking your harness.
