Changing the mass air flow sensor on a 4L60E rebuild?

Post by carod » Wed May 08, 2019 4:05 pm

I have herd that many shops are changing the mass air flow sensor when they rebuild a transmission. I
have never changed one and just curious what some of you are doing with regards to changing mass
air flow sensor on a rebuild?

If you have harsh shifts after a rebuild, it could be a Mass air flow meter. If you have a code for that, the transmission will not work right.

Thanks for the reply. I know that if the mass air flow sensor is dirty or there is a code
related to the mass air flow sensor it will affect transmission performance. What i am
curious about if any shops are are just changing the mass air flow sensor on a transmission
rebuild when it is working ok (no codes) when the vehicle comes in?
