Re: 08 mustang
The SOLENOID REGULATOR VALVE is a notorious sticker.
The first 55W i built had this issue.
after a reverse engage, i would give it throttle and it would bang out of gear. i went crazy for several days and finally after studying the hydraulic, realized it had to be sol reg.
The problem is.. when a builder pulls the VB and picks all the valves, it is ALWAYS free. It binds up IN THE TRANS after it gets hot and VB swells taking away clearance.
i redesigned that valve and voila! problem gone.
this was the first part we made when doing R&D.
Jim immediately noticed that shifts became more consistent and what he thought was "adapting"
shift control was actually sticking valve.
With this valve installed the shifting gets amazingly consistent, from dead cold to very hot.
Before we released the kit we would watch time and again guys throwing sol bodies and valve bodies at them to correct these complaints, but for the guys using the kit, those are days gone by.
